I never expected to become a dance teacher. I certainly never expected to teach small children. I was asked to fill in teaching an Adult Open class at Cincinnati Ballet. I rather enjoyed it so I sought out additional opportunities to teach. Then I was asked to take on a class of 3-year olds. While I agreed, I didn't think I'd enjoy it, and I was afraid I wouldn't be good at it. Here we are several years later, and I must say I thoroughly enjoy the challenge of helping students learn new skills whether it be in the classroom or one-on-one. I love watching their excitement as they conquer new movement and concepts. And, at the risk of being immodest, I'm told by parents and students that I'm pretty good as teacher and coach. I guess you never know. Read more about the background I bring into class at the link below.
